February is National Children's Dental Health Month

“2min2x! Brush two minutes two times a day AND eat healthy for a healthy smile!”

Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, health care providers and others to promote the benefits of good oral health to children and adults, caregivers, teachers and many others.

This year’s campaign slogan is “Sugar Wars Spaceship" – the USS SweetSwatter – which is equipped with toothbrush swatters, fighting against the Sweet Tooth Invaders for good oral health!

Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children to get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. By maintaining good oral health through brushing, flossing, and eating, healthy parents and kids can defeat the effects of sugar — together we can win the battle against sugar!
