How Safe Are Dental X-rays?

We are all concerned about the risk of cancer. Knowing that exposure to radiation may cause cancer, the natural question is are dental x-rays safe? The answer is yes. Fortunately, the amount of radiation in dental x-rays is minimal. With advances in dental technology, improvements have been make to greatly reduce radiation and focus it more accurately on a small area. In addition, the use of lead vests help to protect the body from any unwanted radiation. In short, dental x-rays will not harm you and you should not worry about getting your dental check up x-rays at your visits.

Now this X-ray thing is kind of new to me, but coming from you that it is all a hundred percent safe, I have nothing to worry. You are a great dentist.
