After I provide a dental service to a patient, I often hear the question, "Do I need to do anything else when I get home?" When compared to other medical fields, dentistry can usually fix a specific problem with a definitive treatment, and you won't have to do anything special when you get home.
Typically, patients will not have to wait longer than a week before they completely forget they had a dental procedure done. This is actually pretty remarkable since many other ailments such as muscle pain, diabetes, and high blood pressure require long-term treatments, medications, and time-consuming appointments. See? Visiting the dentist is not all that bad!
Even if you have not received any dental treatment, keeping your checkup/cleaning appointments is a must! Our mouths are a cesspool of bacteria that can cause tooth decay and gum disease. The two ways to stop the bacteria is regular professional cleanings and good home care, which includes both flossing and brushing.

Dr. Oshidar's Additional Implant Training
In today’s blog I will discuss my experiences at the latest implant training that I attended in Mexico earlier this month.
I am in pursuit of my Mastership and Diplomate in Implantology through the International Congress of Oral Implantology. These certification processes require numerous hours of education as well as completing several documented implant or bone grafting cases.
The most recent course was a 4-day intensive training that required us to be in a classroom or performing surgeries from 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. I was able to perform advanced procedures in the discipline of implant dentistry, including advanced bone grafting, immediate implant placements, sinus augmentations and more. I also received training along side some of the best doctors in the country. We were taught by doctors from prestigious schools such as Harvard, Tufts and Chicago.
This class has reinforced and strengthened my abilities as an implant surgeon, allowing me to treat and help more patients. What you should expect as a patient of mine? I will be using proven technologies and procedures to increase the success of all implant surgeries in my office. If you or anyone you know has missing teeth or is unhappy with their denture or partial, please call Roselle Park Dental. I am excited to use my skills and training to enhance the quality of life for these patients.
