I bet you didn't know that some of our favorite Thanksgiving foods help to prevent tooth decay. Compounds within cranberries help prevent plaque from building on your teeth. Also, drinking red wine has shown to have benefits for your teeth. Waste from the red-wine-making process — such as fermented seeds and skins — contains compounds that fight bacteria that aid in tooth decay.
But Thanksgiving foods are not all created equally. Remember to go easy on the sweets or brush your teeth after consuming those goodies to help prevent cavities.
